Headed by our phsycologist and social worker Maria Knipe this centre seeks to assist families as they go through tough times with a member addicted to alcohol, drugs, gambling or anything else.
In addition to the provision of support groups we seek to work with each family individually to support and strengthen them and advocate for them through the complex world of addiction recovery.
We have begun one support group at Bonnells Bay and hope to have Newcastle and Belmont groups opperational by 2nd term 2008.
Families form the backbone of our society. They are often the first line of support, providing emotional, social, financial and other assistance when needed and adding purpose, value and meaning to life.
This group can help you deal with the confusion and difficulties brought on by drug and alcohol misuse or addiction in families. It can also help you improve your relationships with your family

Our presence in the middle of Morisset is our Family Store. Our dedicated team of over 25 volunteers spend thier days sorting, pricing and selling second hand goods and clothes.
The most impressive aspect of our ministry in the store is not the money raised to support the other ministries of the church, but rather the ministry the shop has in itself as a place to chat, to meet and find words of comfort, information and encouragement.
If you are in Morisset visit our shop, its underneath the "Ray White" real estate agent on the main street of town.
Of course if you want to volunteer to join this fantastic team then please email us...

Your flesh and your heart may fail. But, remember….I am the strength of your heart and your destiny forever! - Psalm 73:26
This team of dedicated lay-pastors is committed to taking thier job to the streets. The term "street ministry" used to be a label for "money collection on the street". While this is still an element of the ministry (they still have a box for donations) the focus is primarily on meeting the needs of people, either spiritually, emotionally, or physically if possible. We help with referrals to other services and programs, we set up interviews and counselling sessions and we lend a listening ear to the problems facing the people of our community.
If you find yourself in need due to emergency circumstances then we may be able to help you.
Our volunteers are available between 1pm and 3pm each wednesday. If you live in our local area. (Morisset-Bonnellsbay Peninsula, Wyee Pt, Wyee, Cooranbong, Martinsville, Dora Creek, Wangi Wangi, Balmoral), you may be eligible for food, groceries, energy, phone or water bill assistance. Please call us on 02 4973 1735.
No appointment is necessary. However, you need to bring ID, Proof of Income and receipts/statements showing how you have spent 75% of your income during the current pay period.
